Every MHT Diabetes Trust course is taught by a registered health professional — 6 registered nurses and 3 registered dietitians between them. They come to the room with a practising certificate, a particular interest in diabetes, and a great deal of patience for the same question asked three ways.

Registered Nurse & Registered Dietitian — Casual Diabetes Educator
We are seeking registered nurses and registered dietitians with a special interest in diabetes to teach our group education across the MidCentral North Island.
We provide free diabetes group education for people with pre-diabetes and diabetes throughout the MidCentral North Island.
We are currently seeking health professionals (Registered Nurse Casual Diabetes Educators and Registered Dietitian Casual Diabetes Educators) who have a special interest in Diabetes.

What we ask for
- NZ Registered Nurse or NZ Registered Dietitian with a current practising certificate
- A high level of interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload
- Ability to lead group education, along with basic computer skills
- NZ residency — sponsorship applications will not be accepted
- A full NZ driver licence
